LCCP’s Grace’s
Kitchen celebrated
its 2nd Anniversa-
ry bringing food
and fellowship to
our community on
Tuesday evenings
this past week.
But February 11th
was so much more
this year! Emily
Overacker, 11, from
Stafford had a spe-
cial surprise for us!
This past Christmas, Emily
sent a letter to her grandpar-
ents, parents, aunts and uncles
requesting that, in lieu of pres-
ents, they consider giving her
money which she then would
donate to Grace’s Kitchen. She
attended our anniversary meal
with her mom, Betsy Overacker,
and grandmother, Sheila Furr,
and made her presentation to
our director, Selby Davis. Emily
loved her experience having din-
ner at Grace’s Kitchen, and that
made her gift even more special.
We thank her from the bottom
of our hearts and are so pleased
that she is learning about the
gifts of philanthropy, charity &
love at such a young age.
