Center held their annual lun-
cheon. At this event Director
Steve Hyde hosted many local
and state officials, and business
people, to give a report of the
progressof theagencyanda look
into the future.
The GCEDC has done a great
job creating a shovel ready site
for new businesses to be able
tomove into our area and bring
more jobs, aswell asnegotiate in
thehighlycompetitive landscape
togetnewcompanies to invest in
ourCounty.Wehaveoneof these
siteson thecornerofLakeSt.and
West BergenRd. This site is not
shovel ready but we have many
people working on overcoming
the obstacles.
The biggest take away I got
was the bipartisanmessage sent
out by all speakers, Republi-
cans praising the Governor, the
Democrats complimenting the
Republicans as well as all local
governments working together
toget thingsdone togo forward,
regardless of who gets the cred-
it. This is very refreshing and
exciting; because this is theonly
way we can rebound and come
closer to becoming the Empire
State again.
Let’shope this thawcontinues,
all thissnowputsafinancialbur-
den on all of us.
