Main Street the village board will conduct its annual organizational meeting. Along with this meeting will be its annual tentative budget proposal for the fiscal year of 2019-2020. It is the boards position to maintain a stable budget. This year’s budget will pose no increase to the village rate, as well as no change to the sewer rate. Much of the reason we were able to do this was the increase in property assessment. We have a street plan in place that balances tar and stoning, paving of existing streets and complete overhaul street project where we bond these but try not to overlap the debt, similar to how we did the waste water treatment plant. In this year cycle we will be repaving parts of presidential acres, and no tar and stone project, we also starting the engineering for rebuild of Wolcott St. On the sewer plant side, we will be purchasing a screen to help turn our sludge into useful compost. This is necessity to keep a stable sewer rate. It will in way resemble the last project. Last year’s early snow left many lawns filled with leaves. The DPW will be picking these up they do not have to be in bags, yet it is very important that they be separated from the twigs and branches. Thank you for your anticipated compliance.
