THE SOFTER, STRONGER CARPET LeRotary Notes It was a beautiful first day of Spring as the Rotary Club of LeRoy met on March 20 for their weekly lunch meeting. Past President Scott McCumiskey presided in place of President Jim Ellison and led off with the customary Pledge, Prayer and Four Way Test. Sami Vagg kicked off announcements where she reminded the group of the March 22 Interact Alumni Game between LeRoy and Cal-Mum. This is Interact’s largest fundraiser of the year! Additionally, Sami shared that Graze to Raise will be on May 17 with tickets forthcoming. Lynne Belluscio shared there were a few tickets remaining for the LeRoy Historical Society dinner on March 23. Lastly, Bob Bennett informed that the Easter Egg Hunt will be on April 20. There were many makeups and greenbacks shared as Bob Boyce, Tracy Ford, Tony Gugino, Phil Plossi, Nanette Chiulli, Merritt Holly and Randy Vink caught up on missed meetings. Fines includedBobSullivan for having 4 grandchildren playing in the Alumni Game. Martha Bailey and Jason Karcher paid up for the Rotary Bowling Night while Tammy Arneth paid for her short visit to the event. Tony Gugino had to pay for his level of service as an almost retired dentist. Phil Plossi paid up for a meme while Merritt Holly for a video on the school website. Before transitioning to the program, shared story time wove the tale of Christopher the Giraffe and how he made his way to the Jell-O Gallery. The meeting closed with the day’s program focused on Committee Meetings. Remember to “like” them on Facebook: “Rotary Club of LeRoy”.
