Our guests included John McClurg from the Perry Club and Dr. Nicholas Loffredo, Head of Orthopedics at United Memorial Medical Center of Batavia. Upcoming events: Randy Vink summarized the upcoming membership event and described how it should be an ongoing exercise over the course of the year as opposed to a once and done approach. We are always looking for people who want to join a very fun group and give back to their community. Bob Bennett announced the annual Stuffing Easter Egg project will be held at the Moose onApril 13 at 9:00 am sharp and went on to say that the Easter Egg Hunt itself would be April 20th. Volunteers are needed to help at both events. Christine Gebhardt reminded everyone that the Community Kitchen could still use volunteers. Moving on to missed meetings, Jake Whiting, Christine Gebhardt, and President Jim, who has a new grandson and threatened to show lots of pictures, all had make ups and no fines were collected. Fun fines were issued to Jake Whiting, David Grayson, Randy Vink and Tony Gugino for various infractions by which their fellow Rotarians got to know them better. Tracy Ford introduced her guest and today’s program. Dr. Nicholas Loffredo gave a brief summary of his personal history and education. Then, he went on to describe his role as Head of the Orthopedics Unit at UMMC and all of the types of treatments that they make available. Dr. Loffredo spoke about preventative orthopedic health and described some helpful exercises for the more mature among us! Services are now available locally at the upgraded facility at 3 Tountas Avenue in Le Roy. President Jim narrowly avoided a fine by thanking Past President Scott for running the meeting last week.
