Announcements included the upcoming Installation Dinner on June 26th at LeRoy CC; Community Kitchen had 69 diners; Jason Karcher talked about the Oatka Fest hotdog booth; Samantha Vagg reported on the Rotary youth cleanup of the Mill Street Park and Randy Vink reported that we had 3 new applications as a result of the membership social at the Creekside. A Check was presented to Bob Sullivan for an Oatka Fest Sponsorship, and then President Jim moved right into the missed meetings. Bart Dambra, Marsha McKenzie, Eric Fix, Bob Bennett, Scott McCumiskey, Sam Vagg and Randy Vink all claimed to have an excuse. But, Jake Whiting and Nanette Chiulli were caught empty handed and were forced to relinquish a green card. Fines were levied upon many today. President Jim might be trying to level the totem before the end of his term in 4 weeks. He fined Bart Dambra for having so many grand children in sports, Marsha McKenzie for A Grandson’s paper and Phil Plossl for a lack of stories to tell (Willingly). Sam Vagg was fined for a leftover Christmas ornament found on school grounds and then fined more for having completed 20 years with The LeRoy Village Green. Mary Margaret Ripley paid for her dedication to the LeRoy Farmers Market, Jake Whiting paid for a found photo of him at the Braveheart Castle. No, he was not wearing a kilt. Finally, Tony Gugino was fined for accepting a donation of childrens golf clubs by an anonymous donor. Therewas no program today so that we could have a round table discussion about how to better serve our community. Rotary is always looking for ways to improve the lives of the people who live in our local and worldwide communities. If anyone has a suggestion, they should feel free to contact any LeRoy Rotarian.
