LE ROY PENNYSAVER & NEWS - JUNE 30, 2019 The Genesee County Sheriffs Office is investigating a one car motor vehicle crash that occurred in the area of7550 State Route 20, in the Town of Pavilion. The Genesee County Emergency Dispatch Center received the 9-1-1 call on June 24t\ 2019 reporting the personal injury accident at 3:35 PM. Upon arrival, patrols observed a 2010 gray Nissan Murano into a tree. A deputy identified the operator and sole occupant of that vehicle as, Holly C. Neuffer, age 49, of LeRoy N.Y. Neuffer was westbound on State Route 20 when she failed to negotiate a curve in the road and went off the north shoulder of State Route 20. The Nissan then struck a tree head on. As a result of the crash, the Nissan Murano suffered heavy front end damage. Neuffer was transported via LeRoy Ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital for serious injuries. On the morning of June 25th, 2019 the Genesee County Sheriffs Office was informed by the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office that Holly C. Neuffer had died while at Strong Memorial Hospital. The cause of death is being investigated as to whether Neuffer died from injuries sustained in the motor vehicle crash or from other medical conditions. The crash is currently being investigated by Chief Brian Frieday, Sergeant Andrew Hale, Sergeant of Investigations James Diehl, Deputy Ryan DeLong, and Deputy Robert Henning. Assisting at the scene were members of the LeRoy Fire Department, Pavilion Fire Department, Mercy EMS, and NYS Troopers.
