Saturday, Sept. 28 at 7:30 PM Stuart Steiner Theatre Batavia Campus This show is for mature audiences. YES! Mayor's Corner by Greg “Porp” Rogers It is hard to believe Summer is coming to a close and the children will be returning to school. With that is the reminder about school bus safety and to watch out for the walkers and the crossing guards. Reverend Jack Hempfling has put in his letter of resignation from the Planning Board due his busy schedule. Jack was one of my first appointments and did a great job while on the board and will be greatly missed. Jack’s service was done with great knowledge, fairness, and open- mindedness. With a vision for the future, it is very hard to replace someone like that. From the whole community Thank You, Jack, we appreciate your years of faithful service. Bob Dawley will return to the Planning Board position where he served for 20+ years, thanks to Bob for stepping back up. Bob Scott has also resigned for the Village Zoning Board of Appeals. Thanks to Bob for a job well done. This board is not the easiest to serve on and requires a strong backbone and open-mindedness to evaluate a situation for the greater good of an outcome for all. Thanks again Bob. At this time, we have no replacement but John Allen who is the alternate will step in. Our summer help of Cole Biggins and Ethan Roy are finished. These guys and our crew did a great job and got a lot accomplished through the summer. Unfortunately, we all know what’s coming, leaf season and winter. “Remember you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else” Margaret Mead THANK YOU! St. Mark’s 11th annual Summer Lunch at Mill St. Park served over 520 lunches to children and teens for 8 weeks this summer. The program is funded through a Blood Foundation grant. Volunteers from St. Mark’s Church, LeRoy United Methodist Church, Our Lady of Mercy Parish, LeRoy High School and the community helped prepare and serve meals with assistance at the park from LeRoy Recreation.
