LeRoy would start with the ball at their own 45-yard line. On LeRoy’s first offensive series, the Mustang’s defense came to play and they were able to shut down LeRoy’s offense forcing a punt on fourth down. Dansville was in the red zone looking to score. On the next two downs LeRoy’s Joey Reschke, Dawson Wojtaszczyk, and Connor Elmore teamed up to hold the Mustangs. A second attempt on third down came up short thanks to Reschke, Wojtaszczyk, and Colin Kazmierczak. Dansville went for it on fourth down, but Noah Kaczanowski came up and made a great tackle to stop the Mustangs. LeRoy took over on downs. The Knights started deep in their own territory on the 12- yard line. The offensive line led by Grady Gilligan, Mike Fortuna, and Kazmierczak were able to get a first down to give the Knights some working room. However they fell short on third down and were forced to punt for a second time. Once again LeRoy gave Dansville good field position at LeRoy’s own 28-yard line. On second down Dansville fumbled and Joey Reschke was there to claim the turnover. LeRoy started at their own 27 yard-line. Drake Schwab, Jacob Bowman, and Brayden Chase made some great blocks for the running backs that allowed Connor Elmore to fly into the end zone on a 67-yard touchdown. Kaczanowski’s PAT was successful. LeRoy-8 Dansville-0 Dansville would have one more opportunity to score before the half ended. The Knights defense wouldn’t allow it though and they formed a steel curtain to shut down the Mustangs before the half ended. LeRoy would get the ball to start the second half on their 45-yard line.
