A fine was levied against Tony Gugino for his time away visiting grandchildren. Jason Karcher was fined for his recent new role as Commissioner of LeRoy’s Youth Softball League. Scott McCumiskey recently completed his studies for his Masters and was congratulated by all for this great accomplishment. Mary Margaret was fined for the huge increase in her china (dishes not country!) business. President Mary gave her bubble wrap to ship her product to her buyers. Jeff Halladay, owner of our local Save A Lot, was fined for an old photo of a local grocery store. Christine Gephart, who was the spark starting our Meat Raffle last year, was fined for a newspaper article about the growth of Meat Raffles in Western New York. Bob Bennett, although he denied his wrong doing, was fined for parking his truck in a handicapped spot. Jerry McCullough was fined for drinking water at a recent Rotary event and David Grayson had a fine levied for an old golf picture. Our guest speaker, Bill Lapple, DO, is owner of Place Eye Care. Dr. Lapple informed listeners that 2020 is the “The Year of the Eye Exam”. Through the collective power of AOA doctors, students, and affiliate organizations, AOA is leveraging this landmark calendar year not only to mobilize the profession around 2020 as the year of the eye exam but also to encourage all Americans to schedule their in-person comprehensive eye examination with an AOA family doctor of optometry. Dr. Lapple has requested the support of the Rotary Club of LeRoy in this endeavor. Le Roy Rotary is an organization that is helping to wipe polio off the earth, provide over $35,000 in scholarships for local graduates annually, feed hungry people through the Community Kitchen twice each month, and are providing funds toward saving the lives of babies in Uganda? They always welcome new members and community partnerships. Remember to “like” Rotary on Facebook: “Rotary Club of LeRoy”, or visit leroyrotary.org. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL ADVERTISERS!
