Covid 19 pandemic will most likely change our world going forward, from many different perspectives. We at the village have finished the budget for 20-21 and have evaluated purchases and projects as well as future considerations to what the total US and New York state may look like going forward. Rest assured we are getting as much information as we can and proceeding as cautiously as we can. Not bad practice anyway. One of the positives to come out of this is the effect on our environment, we may not see this as much as others, but I have to believe this has to help and may be a lesson for us to pay more attention to in the future. Cancellations are just part of what is going on, recently the American Legion annual Memorial Day parade and ceremony have been canceled. May be this is the time to really explain the sacrifice that people make to protect our country and the ideals to our children. Oatka fest committee has also announced the cancellation of the event as we know it. Hopefully we can have some kind of celebration this summer or when we are back to the new normal. Thank You to everyone for doing your part on safe distancing and trying to stop the spread. To date LeRoy has had 10 cases, while we are not out of the woods, we stand below many other townships of equal size. Please remain diligent as you have been. Lastly it is census time, and it is very important to fill these out. This is valuable information that will be used for the next 10 years for many things including funding that should come our way.
