This was a decision that took a lot of thought and was something no one wanted to do. Jim Farnholtz and I had many conversations on this and felt with the guidelines sent down by the State, it left us no alternative but to cancel. I am aware many of you are very frustrated by this whole Covid thing and some are even lacking in trust from our elected officials. In this case, they are just trying to protect the general public, regardless of your opinion they have the authority to make decisions on our behalf for the greater good of all. Now is the time to respect everyone’s rights, I will leave it at that. Monday is going to be a Memorial Day like no other, no parade. Practicing social distancing and everything that goes with that. Let us take the time in our thoughts to remember all veterans alive and who have passed for the sacrifices they have made for us to keep our country the best in the whole world. We may complain about things that go on, but at the end of the day, you wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. This may be a great time to send a donation to the American Legion Post in honor of all those who have passed away and those who have served. The Legion and its’ members have given so much to this country and community it may be a kind gesture that would be greatly appreciated. Enjoy the great weather, practice social distancing but get out and enjoy this great holiday. The great USA will conquer COVID 19 just like all the other foes.
