LE ROY PENNYSAVER & NEWS - JULY 5, 2020 PANEPENTO FAMILY 3 GENERATIONS OF SERVING THE COMMUNITY Celebrating 100 Years THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATRONAGE Summer Lunch for Children & Teens in LeRoy : is starting Wednesday, July 1 for 8 weeks. Lunches will be served onMondays,Wednesday, and Fridays from 12:00 to 12:45 pm at the side entrance of St. Mark’s Church on Church St. Parking is in St. Mark’s lot across the street (on the corner of East Main and Church Sts.). Lunches are available for anyone fromages 1-18 and will include a hot lunch as well as a cold or heat-at-home lunch to take for Tuesdays and Thursdays. All lunches are grab-and-go. While St. Mark’s has held summer lunch at Mill St. Park for the past eleven years, this year’s lunch is strictly for pick-up. All guidelines for safe serve and for coronavirus precautions are being followed, sowe ask that participants wear a mask and stay six feet apart when stopping by. This is a community project and volunteers and supporters also come from LeRoy Methodist Church, Our Lady of Mercy Parish, Living Waters Church, and LeRoy Rotary as well as interested individuals. The summer lunch is funded by a grant from the Blood Foundation and by St. Mark’s members. Woodward Memorial Librar y Board Meeting : The Board of Trustees will be meeting on Wednesday, July 8 at 5:00pm in the Library. Grace's Closet : A clothing giveaway at leroy united methodist church, 10 trigon park, leroy ny clothing for all ages infants through adults. Donations may be left at the handicap entrance of the church and must be in plastic bags. Please no electronics, tv's, household items, large baby furniture. Hours: tuesday's 5-6:30p & thursday's 9:30-11:30am. Contact 768-8980 for questions. Adults only at this time. Thrift Shop First Presbyterian Church Basement, Main &Clay St. LeRoy. Tues- day 10-12 & 4-6pm; Saturday 10-12. Household items, linens, tools, garden items etc. Donations accepted Mon, Wed, Thurs, 9-12 by phoning 768-8700. Or by appointment, 356-6362. no clothes, electronics, large furniture or appliances. O B I T U A R I E S Joseph Louis Soccio , 91, died June 15, 2020, at Angel Care A.L.F. in Vero Beach, Fla. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz. org) in honor of Joseph. LeRoy - Barbara JeanWalters, 60, passed away on themorning of June 20, 2020. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for distribution to various animal welfare organizations. Pavilion - Keith Donald Rowe, 72, passed away on June 21, 2020 in Canandaigua, NY at the Ontario Center for Rehabilitation. LeRoy - Kevin John Gannon, 57, of East Main Road, passed away at home unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Kevin are suggested to Mission 22 at https://mission22.com . LeRoy - Kenneth Allen White, 68, passed away on Wednesday June 24, 2020. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Legion of LeRoy or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Stafford - Edward G. Scott, 98, was welcomed home into the arms of the Lord on June 28, 2020. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to ARC of Genesee-Orleans or the Palliative Care Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital.
