The Twins appeared poised to score early when Noah Kaczanwoski reached after being hit by a pitch and Avante Walker laid down a perfect bunt. After a stolen base by Walker, the Twins had second and third with one out. However, Alex Spezzano was able to find his rhythm and strike out the next two batters to end the early threat. This was it for action through the first three innings as Alex Spezzano and Avante Walker combined for 16 strike outs through 3 innings with the only hit coming from Peter Clark. Avante Walker would then “help himself” in the 4th inning giving himself and the Twins a 1-0 lead. Using his speed and base running instincts, Walker moved to second on a steal and third on a passed ball. With the score now tied, the Tigers weren’t done yet as Peter Clark hit a line drive to center that made it to the wall. Both he and Currin would score as the ball got away from the Twins third baseman as Clark was approaching the base. This would leave the score Tigers 3, Twins 1. In the 6th the Twins did their best to rally as Avante Walker hit a hard shot triple to center field and scored as the ball came back to the infield.
