Please be careful and practice social distancing and wear a mask when in public. Our county has seen a very large spike in new cases. On the date of writing this we had 43 new cases in Genesee County. One unfortunate result of this election is, an end of Senator Mike Ranzenhofer’s tenure. The Senator was very good to LeRoy and our area, he will be missed. Congratulations to Ron Pangrazio on winning a spot on the Town Board. The Police Chief and a committee are looking at police reform policies and are closing in on the end of their meetings. So far, they have been very productive and will make sure we have a very good policy in place on many different topics. Leaf season is in full swing and if we can keep this weather going the DPW should have the best year for leaf pick up in a long time. Please try to keep your leaves on the terrace and they will be by to pick them up. Don’t get nervous if you think we’ve missed you, we’ll be back, as we make many trips through the village. The Police Chief has extended on street parking until November 30th, so we will not be issuing tickets until 12/1/20. You may get the customary warning ticket. At our meeting November 2, the Board appointed Emily Lathan to the vacant labor’s position and appointed Greg Kellogg to be Chief of Police upon the retirement of Chris Hayward.
