Christine had four make-ups to cover her missed meetings. President Mary Margaret transitioned to the fining session. Only one fine was given and it was to Martha Bailey. Martha’s daughter and son-in-law welcomed twin girls to the family recently. Martha paid $10.00. We then moved on to the annual “cookie auction.” This has become a yearly tradition where members of the club donate items to be auctioned off. The proceeds then go to the current President’s choice of charities. This year the proceeds will be divided between the LeRoy Food Pantry and the First Baptist Church of LeRoy backpack program. Rotary members donated and auctioned off a total of 25 items. Bob Bennett was the club’s esteemed auctioneer for the event. The auction raised over $1000.00 for President Mary Margaret’s charities. President Mary Margaret adjourned the meeting at 1:03 pm and thanked everyone for their participation.
