President Mary Margaret began with Jim Bonacquisti. Jim was fined for a picture of himself and his grandson relaxing on the couch watching football. Erik Fix was fined for his son, Brady, and his accomplishments with DECA. Erik tried to act like he wasn’t sure what his son was being honored for. Scott McCumiskey was fined for a COVID bubble Halloween gathering for Murder Mystery night. Scott then called on the services of Past President Bob Bennett. He requested a fine issued to President Mary Margaret for her technology skills. Past President Bob Bennett fined President Mary Margaret. Phil Plossl (via his wife Ellen) was fined for a beautiful picture of their daughter and two grandchildren. Bob Bennett was fined for his ability to hunt deer this season. President Mary Margaret moved to Rotarian Carol Wolfe and the home improvements going on with her garage. Carol explained that she is having a “man door” put in her garage. After promptly googling this “man door” it is commonly referred to as a pedestrian door or pass-through door in your garage. President Mary Margaret called on Bob Carlson for any updates on the Yankees and spring training. Bob stated he hadn’t heard yet but admittedly stated, “Go Bills!” Jason Karcher was then fined for his modeling years when he was a child. Jason shared how he was in the Twin Fair flyer. He offered to demonstrate his skills when meetings return to in-person. Today’s presentation was by Jim Bonacquisti and his model trains which are set up in his basement. Jim shared that his love of model trains started around 1971. From there it has grown and developed over almost 50 years. There have been times when the trains were packed away for years while space was needed for other things. In March 2020, Jim began setting all of his trains back up. Jim spoke about how he has built the buildings and houses that are part of his town. Each building even has lights. It was evident that Jim has a passion for his model trains and they hold a lot of history and memories. He now shares his love with his grandchildren. President Mary Margaret adjourned the meeting at 12:55 and thanked everyone for their participation.
