James M. “Theo” Green · Buffalo, LeRoy · Passed away on March 4, 2021. James was born November 4, 1923 and was a graduate of LeRoy High School Class of 1941. He attended North Western University and was awarded a scholarship from the National Journalism Institute and also attended the National Press Institute of Columbia University . He served in the US Navy Seabees from 1943-1946(Guam) where he was the Navy News Guam Editor in 1946. James worked for the East Aurora Advertiser 1942-1943, LeRoy Gazette 1946-1950, Buffalo News Editorial Staff 1950-1959, Rumwill-Hoyt Agency Public Relations Manager 1959-1963, Hooker Chemical Public Relations Manager 1963,Occidental Chemical Public relations Manager 1963- 1982, Occidental Contract Consultant 1982-1996, J&M Associates Owned and Operated Public Relations Agency 1982-1996. He was a Founding Member, Past President, Buffalo Chapter of Public Relations Association of America and Founding Member, with wife Ann, of St. Amelia Church Parish. James was pre-deceased by his wife Marjorie D. (Nee Driscoll) Green 2005 and is survived by his children James D. (Rosalyn), Kevin P. (Jacqueline) and Susan A. Green. Loving grandfather of James V. (Jessica), Julia A., (Charles) Peloquin, Sean P. (Ashley) and Erin R. (Matthew) Leeds and great grandfather of Kaylyn, Charles, Kennedy, Charlotte, Owen, Gavin, Brooke, Olivia and Jack. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. She entertained us with a slide show tour of the many beautiful gardens of New Zealand. Brenda's husband is a New Zealand native and the slide show was a culmination of their many visits.
