I am starting my campaign early by reaching out to you, my friends and community members, to ask for your support as I begin this journey. When citizens are summoned to serve as jurors in our courts, they often are asked whether or not they can set aside their own personal views and follow the law. If they say they cannot do so, then they are not selected for jury service. We should be able to expect the same of our judges. My opinion is that candidates for judge should make only two fundamental promises: I have every intention to honor these promises. I am willing to hear and consider the views of all sides of a case so that a just result can be reached. LeRoy is a strong, solid community thanks to the many of you who serve as examples of what it means to serve faithfully and with humility. Your willingness to give freely of your time and talent is greatly appreciated and your efforts are making a difference in our community. I hope in some small way to do the same.
