Rock , O . de M Father Rock passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born May 21, 1959 in Cleveland Ohio, a son of Russell and Grace Rock and brother of Sue Ricci. Father Rock attended Grade and Middle School at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Cleveland, Ohio, which was staffed by the Sisters of the Order of the Most Holy Trinity (Trinitarians). He graduated from Saint Edward High School, Lakewood, Ohio in 1977, which was staffed by the Congregation of the Holy Cross. He entered the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mercy as a postulant in 1978. First Profession of simple vows on August 15, 1980 He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, Wynnewood, PA in 1983 and a Master of Arts in Theology from Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, Wynnewood, PA in 1986. Made Solemn Profession on Easter Sunday, at Saint Raymond's Seminary in Le Roy, New York April 22, 1984. Father Rock was ordained a priest on May 24, 1986 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Cleveland, Ohio by Auxiliary Bishop of Cleveland, A. James Quinn and became Parochial Vicar at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Cleveland, Ohio 1986 to 1989 and received a Master of Arts in History degree at Villanova University 1989. He became Pastor of Saint Peter’s Parish in Le Roy and Saint Anthony Parish in Lime Rock, New York from 1999 - 2008 and Pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Parish in LeRoy and St. Brigid Parish in Bergen, New York 2008 – 2012. He was named Vicar-Provincial of the United States to the Roman Province in 2015. Father Rock was currently Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
