But Canisteo’s defense was up to the task as they stopped the Knights drive on the 9 yard line as time ran out in the first half. Canisteo took the ball to start the second half and began driving. Looking to finally put some points on the board, they got down to Le Roy’s 25 yard line. But defensive leaders Jace Beauchamp and Andy Murphy made some big plays to end the drive and give the ball back to the Knights. With the Knights back on offense Coach Bogue turned to the half back option once again. This time Sammy Bogue hit Carter McClurg down the right sideline and McClurg pulled away from four would-be tacklers for the TD. Another unsuccessful extra point gave the Knights a 25-0 lead. After some back and forth defensive stands by both teams the Knights got on the board again as QB Ryker Vangalio found a wide open Ryan Chrissy in the back of the endzone for another Knights touchdown. That gave Le Roy a commanding 31-0 lead half way through the fourth quarter. With the rain starting to come down the conditions started to get a little sloppy. For most teams that would be a disadvantage, but not for this Junior Knights team. Mason Doran took a botched snap that squirted threw the QBs legs, picked it up and ran 40 yards for his second touchdown of the game and final score of the night. The Knights go to 5-0 as they pick up the 37-0 victory. Next week is a big game as they face off against an undefeated GVB team on Saturday for what could have major Championship Game implications.
