LE ROY PENNYSAVER & NEWS - OCTOBER 31, 2021 County Legislature, District #5, LeRoy Rochelle (Shelley) Stein resides with her husband Ray on Gully Rd and enjoys time with family. The family farm focus is on sustainability of land use and stewardship. Much of the land borders the Oatka Creek, which demands high attention to detail. Shelley serves as the treasurer and officemanager to the farmenterprise. Her life experience and accounting education provides a strong foundation for her government service. Shelley has previously led the community of LeRoy as Supervisor for 10 years. During her terms many services were consolidated to reduce layers of local government, provide more professional staffing and maintain service levels. As a County Legislator, Shelley has served as Chair of Human Services and Public Services Committees, President of Inter County of Western NY Association, liaison to Board of Health, GCEDC, a member of NYSAC Agriculture and Public Safety Committees. Currently, Shelley serves as the Chair of the Genesee County Legislature. She engages regularly with state elected officials on our behalf. “I have been honored to serve as your advocate at the County level.
