LE ROY PENNYSAVER & NEWS - OCTOBER 31, 2021 Ron comes to the Town board with a strong mathematical background, having taught math for decades. He and his family enjoy LeRoy’s quality of life, volunteer service opportunities and the results that local government decisions can have on our daily lives. Ron has the benefit of seeking multi-level local solutions for our community due to his prior elected service on LeRoy School District Board of Education and LeRoy Village Board of Trustees. He is able to look at issues from many sides and find common ground to form resolutions. Ron has enjoyed leadership opportunities while serving on Genesee Valley School Board Association, Rotary Club of LeRoy, membership in Fire Department Excelsior Hook & Ladder and Knights of Columbus organizations. Ron served as the Executive Director of the Genesee Valley School Boards Association that serves 22 school districts in the Genesee Valley. Ron is an advocate for maintaining assets, he has encouraged upgrades at the Highway Department facility. Serving on Town Council, Ron has found that some items require a long-term solution like the clean-up of the Wickes Property. Staying on task is important to valued outcomes. Other community requests such as public water benefit district requests deal with only sections of our community. Securing federal USDA loan and grant dollars are very important to those district owners. His knowledge of the inner workings of local government benefit all constituents. “I have always emphasized the importance of working on LOCAL issues for the benefit of the entire community regardless of political ideology. My concern is You and Your Family” Dave enjoys a full calendar with this family! School, sports and farm activities keep their family highly engaged with the services most important to young families in LeRoy. Dave relies on his years of operating an agricultural business in the community for decision making. As an owner and employer in LeRoy, he experiences all of the impacts of governmental regulation. Dave seeks pathways to mitigate and reduce costly unnecessary tax burdens to help sustain local business. Dave has served on the LeRoy Town Council bringing forth his conservative business values. He is creative in solution seeking while ensuring all voices are heard in discussions. Dave is committed to serving on the local Town board because it’s the one that impacts local families each and every day. Accountability and integrity are hallmarks of Dave’s service to LeRoy. LeRoy’s Shovel Ready Food and Tech park is an example of the investment supported by Dave, bringing more business and jobs to LeRoy. Dedicating ARPA funds to build out our new spray and splash pad park for our community youth is another example of Dave’s strong family first thoughtful nature he brings to the Town Board. “I follow thededicationof conservativegovernment very closely inall my determinations; government’s purpose its to provide for services that individuals cannot.
