JUDE by Greg “Porp” Rogers Last week we got pounded with 18 inches of snow overnight. This brings many challenges but it is still better than a hurricane, tornado or earthquake. Our staff did the best job they could and continue to try to remove snow. One issue it created is many independent snow plow operators pushed snow back onto sidewalks we have previously plowed. It is still the resident’s responsibility to keep their walks clean and passable. We don’t mind providing the service but can’t follow behind every plow truck so we can make the side walks safe for pedestrian. If you have an elderly person in your neighborhood, please reach out to help them. Back in the 70’s a storm like that coupled with a day off was a great opportunity for a kid to make money. Not a bad idea. The village and town put up the skating rink in Trigon Park, you are welcome and encouraged to use it.
