Giving us hope for an early spring, usually right before our traditional March snow storm. Things have been busy in the Town as we make our way through winter and prepare for spring. First, I want to thank all of the people in our highway department for the great job and long hours they put in keeping our roads safe and clear during the winter. The skating rink has been a welcome addition to the community. It has gotten a great deal of use. Our recreation department is gearing up for summer and is accepting applications. As soon as the weather breaks, construction will begin on the new spray park at Wildwood. While on the subject of parks, after a great deal of research we have discovered that the Town does not own Bunnell park. It is the property of the Le Roy School district. Therefore, the Town will no longer be in charge of Bunnell Park. All questions should be forwarded to the school. One other item of note. After many complaints by the residents of Griswold Road and research by our highway superintendent about increased truck traffic on that road, the Town Board has passed a resolution to no longer allow semi-trucks, buses, and commercial vehicles on Griswold Road. This does not include farm equipment, local delivery or local business. We will be putting up “No Truck “signs in the next few weeks. Our goal is to make it safer for residents and increase the life of the road. That’s all for now from the Town Hall, I hope to see everyone around town.
