It is next to impossible to name all the things Lynne Belluscio has brought to our community over the years, but she always kept it fresh and moving forward. The lady liberty restorations project that she spearheaded that can be enjoyed every day and will live on for generations. What I love about Lynne is, she is a wealth of knowledge that comes with a great sense of humor. You never leave a conversation with her where you didn’t learn something and get a laugh too. On behalf of the Village, THANK YOU!!!!! For your years of dedication to our community. Please enjoy a well-deserved retirement. I know this won’t be the last we see of you (which is good) . On July 20th we will be holding a public hearing on the proposed sewer tax hike, this will be at 7:00 pm at 3 W. Main in the village Hall and is open to the public. The proposed increase is around 20% going from a quarterly user fee of $40 to $48 and the gallon rate of $8 to $9.60. As I had mentioned in previous articles these are cost of what it takes to keep our plant up and operational. The Splash park is making progress, I will keep you posted on the opening, hope fully soon. Oatka fest is next week, come enjoy and get back to normal. “Happiness is a choice.
