BMI Supply Design Competition and Exhibition Festival 2023 Silent Auction This year our annual TANYS Festival is a week earlier - November 10-12. We are all so thrilled to be doing shows again, back to doing what we love. And with this return to our theatres so have we technicians been scurrying around backstage making the magic happen. Since 2008, BMI Supply Inc. of Glens Falls, NY has been sponsoring the Design Competition and Exhibition, and 2023 is no different. We are looking for you to enter and display your tech! Due to the turnout for virtual entries the past few years, we will again allow both virtual and in-person entries this year. Pay attention to the website for more specific requirements on how to enter. Entries may be made by designers who are individual members of TANYS, or TANYS member companies. Required information, whether the entry is in-person or virtual, includes: - A 500-word (max) design statement that explains your process as you developed your design. We advise that you show your research in your design statement. - Photos of your work, if available, you can also add sketches and other paperwork. Start gathering those memories of the last year and put together a presentation for the Exhibit. If you want to present a virtual entry the deadline to do so is November 3. At-Festival entries must be registered by November 8. TANYS is looking forward to seeing your work!! It's time to think about a clever item to donate for the fun and popular Silent Auction at the 2023 TANYS Festival. All funds raised go to financially assist the troupes selected to travel and participate at the ESTA Festival. Here are some suggestions of items that bring the most active and fun bidding competition: • Gift certificates for restaurants or spas • Basket of local products • Gourmet food basket • Game night basket • Scratch off ticket basket • Beauty products basket • Wine lovers basket (Please note: while wine is acceptable and welcome, it cannot be on the school premises. Only a picture and full description can be displayed.) • Gourmet food basket (ex. crackers, jams/ tartines, cheese, chocolates, goodies, nuts, and more) • Sports basket • Picnic basket • Animal lover basket • Cookbook basket • Date night basket • Outdoor adventure basket Thanks, and we are so happy you are coming to our North Country!
