Once again, the entrants were critiqued by LeMoyne College Theatre Professor Karel Blakely’s enthusiastic commentary. It was enlightening for the audience to go back to the exhibit hall and view each of the entrants through his design aesthetic, always an educational experience for us all. See you at Festival 2019 in Rome! AACT News The American National Theatre Festival 2019 will be held June 18-22 just outside of New York State in Gettysburg, PA at the Majestic Theater. Infor- mation is at www.aact.org . TANYS says “Go”! Kathy Pingel will head the adjudication workshop for those interested in learning the process. AACT Region I Festival was held March 8 - 9, 2019, in Torrington, Con- necticut as part of the New England Regional Festival 2019 (NERF). Four theatre companies from four states presented productions at the Warner Theatre. The National Community Theatre Management Conference will be at Get- tysburg Hotel June 16-18. Hotel rooms are filling up fast. Joan Luther, our AACT Region Rep II, attended the winter board meeting in Salt Lake City and reported that: - AACT is using a facilitator who will be steering them with a strategic plan. - The June AACT Festival is looking for silent auction items. - The AACT 2020 Winter Board meeting will be virtual!!! - Chad-Alan Carr and Bob Frame are both on the AACT board from our region and are active on the festival steering committee.
