www.tanys.org Callboard - Volume XIX • Issue 1 • Spring 2022 Page 4 Note from the 2022 Festival Chair Rome Community Theater has the honor and the privilege of hosting Festival 2022 from November 18-20. Our planning committee is working to put on an exciting Festival to celebrate getting over these pandemic blues. Although Festival 2021 was a success, we plan to return to a normal three-day Festival. When TANYS decided to host a one-day Festival in 2021, my Festival committee had pretty much planned the major parts of a three-day Festival. Thus we are planning on the same Festival hotel, the Hampton Inn on Floyd Avenue, and similar venues that we used in 2019. Stay tuned for details coming via emails, the website, and the fall Callboard which usually comes out around September. And, you can expect the return of the silent auction and look forward to more mittens! The TANYS Board decided at its last meeting to invite back the three adjudicators we had expected to have at the Festival last year: Joan Luther, Geovonday Jones, and Betsy Willis. We are looking forward to hearing the insightful comments from this panel. We are using the theme we have talked about the last few years, “The TANYS Family Reunion,” based on the Addams Family. We are looking forward to this in-person reunion, given the 2020 Festival was virtual and the 2021 Festival was only one day. We will be selling merchandise with a logo based on this theme and hope to see characters such as Morticia, Uncle Fester and Lurch at the banquet. So, set the dates aside NOW! We hope to see you all!
