DEADLINE TO APPLY THROUGH ESTA: September 1, 2022 STREAMING CEL E BRATION DATES: November 3-5, 2022 Once approved, theatres will be given instructions on how to get their licensed video recording in proper format uploaded correctly to ESTA so that their Streami ng Event will be set up. Then theatres will be sent the link to share with anyone who wishes to purchase virtual streaming tickets for the ESTA Streaming Theatre Celebration 2022. All are encouraged to share it with all of their email list, and post on their website and social media outlets as well , to have a wonderful virtual turnout for this fundraiser for the Eastern States Theatre Association. Questions and inquiries to participate as a theatre should be sent to EST A VicePresidentChad@gmail.com WHO CAN APPLY? ANY theatre that becomes a member of their s tate t heatre o rganization in the Eastern States region : Delaware Theatre Association, Maryland Community Theatre Festival Association, New Jersey Theatre League, Theatre Association of New York State, or Pennsylvania Association of Community Theatre. WHAT DO THE THEATRES NEED TO DO TO PARTICIPATE? 1. Become a member of your s tate organization listed above. 2. Email ESTA VicePresidentChad@gmail.com to receive application. 3. Choose a show that your theatre already has legal recording of and request streaming rights from the publisher OR pick a show that you can get recording and streaming rights for and submit that show to this celebration. Publishers must agree to allow you to stream show through ESTA’s streaming service ShowTix4u. STREAMING RIGHTS NEEDED THROUGH THE PUBLISHER (OR PLAYWRIGHT OF ORIGINAL WORKS) 1. Theatres need to secure rights first for their show to be streamed by ESTA’s Streaming Theatre Celebration through ShowTix4u. If the show has streaming rights for both, the theatre should choose on demand option , as it lends more opportunity for ticket sales because it is more convenient for the patron. Video On Demand is where we u pload a prerecorded video of your event for patrons to purchase and watch “on demand . ” Scheduled Content is where we u pload a prerecorded video of your event for patrons to view prerecorded content scheduled to stream at a fixed time. Some published titles do not have rights to streaming so be sure to double check and get the license that will allow your production to be streamed through this virtual celebration produced as a fundraiser for ESTA.
