Krickmire Receives National Award The American Association of Community Theatre (AACT)’s Awards Committee selected Michael to recognize him for his exceptional service and contributions to community theatre with the: Robert E. Gard Superior Volunteer Award. This award is presented to individuals above the age of 65 who have faithfully served community theatre on a non-paid basis for over 25 years. Michael, in addition to his day job in SUNY Brockport’s Dept. of Theatre, is well known and respected in the Rochester, NY community theatre scene where he has acted, directed, produced and sat on numerous Boards of Directors. He and his wife Mary continue to be active in community theatre and plan to be for the foreseeable future. TANYS congratulates Mike for this acknowledgement of his long career and dedication to community theatre! TANYS Looking Forward As we all are thrilled to be back and starting up again, now is the perfect time to look to the future and start thinking about what we want to achieve in the months, year and years ahead for our companies. TANYS is considering this as well but, we need your input. What could we do to assist your company? Are there programs that we could offer to benefit you? Do you need assistance in management, planning, marketing, recruiting…? We need you to tell us how we can help you. Our Long-Range Planning Committee has just been restructured after the long COVID closures. This is the time for all of us to pull together and bring back community theatre to new status.
