Center on Oatka Festival weekend. A

with a Chicken BBQ sponsored by the

Healthy Community/Healthy Youth
Groupwill be doing a communitywide
project to decorate and plant pots to be
placed at businesses and organizations

LCCP Spring Celebration will be held

Detailswill be forthcoming for “LeRoy
Night” at theMuckdog stadium.
KimCox,SuperintendentofSchools
and Brian Foeller, Business Adminis-
trator, presented the 2014-15 school
budget. Kim also noted all the District
accomplishments for our school com-
munityandwhat a list there is.Christine
Gephart from Healthy Communities/
Healthy Youth spoke to us about the
“Passport to our Community” where
there will be a community Scavenger
Hunt to identify the businesses and

organizations that sponsored the plant
projectmentionedabove.Thiswill help
promotebusiness inourcommunity.The
monies raised will be used to promote
more community service projects. This
group also participates in projects with
Rotary and the school community. Up
to fifty students have participated in
these projects.
MarkMasse,Sr.VPofOperations for
GCEDC spoke to us about the STAMP
project inAlabama, NYand how bene-
ficial it will be in creating commercial
and retail business alongwith the large
amount of employment opportunities.
Is LeRoy ready for a future STAMP
project? Along with business and em-
ployment opportunities comes a desti-
nation forvisitorsandahugemarketing
opportunity for our community.
Police Officer, TimHayes reminded
us with thewarmweather that we need
tokeepour cardoors lockedand tokeep
items out of view.DavePaddock,Town
Board member reported that they are
continuing to work on the Budget and
revising the Comprehension Plan. The
Town is also purchasing a new truck to
replace the2004 theycurrentlyhave.Bill
Kettle, Village Boardmember reported
that JimDeLooze is opening an art gal-
lery and coffee/sandwich shop that will
beat“58onMain” toopenJune16th.The
coffee/sandwich shop is being run by
SeanValdes,D&RDepot.Healsostated
that theVillage Board is reviewing and
strengthening theCodeEnforcement.
