is offering a class in LeRoy to
discuss techniques and tips for
“Improving Communication in
DementiaCare”.

ing the June 10, 2014 presen-
tation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. The
class is ideal for family caregiv-
ers who are trying to negotiate
their caregiving journey as the
needsof their lovedoneschange,
and thediseaseprogresses.They
will leave the class with an un-
derstanding of both verbal and
non-verbalcommunicationskills,
as well as concrete tools to help
themengagewith their lovedone.

The Alzheimer’s Association
also offers numerous other pro-
grams to help both family and
professional caregivers, and
those with dementia. Classes
are offered at various sites and
times acrossWesternNewYork,
and include the basics about
