The Village Board has made
some changes in an effort to
be more productive. Instead of
having a meeting on the second
and fourthWednesday of every
month. We have decided to
move the meeting to the third
Wednesday of the month. The
first Monday of the month will
beaworkshopopen to thepublic
on major issues that need extra
time fordiscussionanddetail toa
particularsubject.Thesechanges
will start in April. We had an
Organizational Meeting on the
April4thandourregularmeeting
will beApril 20th at 7:00. In the
future I will try to put the topic
of the workshop in my column,
for thosewhomaybe interested.
On April 4th the Village and
Town Board had a joint meet-
ing on the subject of “Zombie”
homes; this along with code
enforcement is one of the larger
concerns tomany inourcommu-
nity.Wehope tocontinuecollab-
oration between both boards in
an effort towork together to get
more accomplished for the good
of all the citizens of LeRoy.
The Board has begun work on
theupcomingbudget,while they
are always challenging, it seems
the biggest issue will be at our
