program Trees for Tribs. This
will be a several year effort to
involve volunteers in tree plant-
ing activities along a 12-mile
reachofOatkaCreekbetween the
VillageofScottsville in theTown
of Wheatland, Monroe County
and Circular Hill Road in the
TownofLeRoy,GeneseeCounty.
Thiseffortwill startonSaturday,
May 2, 2015, when theGenesee
Country Village and Museum
(GCV&M) and theOatka Creek
WatershedCommittee (OCWC),
alongwith theNYSDepartment
of Environmental Conservation
(DEC) join in a partnership to
sponsor a planting event on a
1,400 foot sectionofOatkaCreek
on the GCV&M property in the
Town of Wheatland. They will
be planting 200 trees and shrubs
that have been provided to them
fromDEC’s Trees for Tribs Pro-
gram.Tovolunteerfor theproject,
