ing $100 apiece for the oppor-
tunity to dine on local products.
The “Field to Fork Feast” menu
is designed by our local chef
extraordinaire Selby Davis and
the food is being prepared by
our local caterer extraordinaire,
D&RDepot.
The produce is being donated
by our local farms - - - extraor-
dinaire.Our host for the evening
is theStein family.Theevent isa
fundraiserfor theAmerica’sBest
Community project. (There are

If you are asking why 100
people want to have dinner in
an alfalfa field, then you need to
know that these folksunderstand
how important it is to invest in
our communities – Bergen and
LeRoy. Funds raised by Field
to Fork Feast are being used to
defray the cost of our new eco-
nomic revitalization plan. Our
local farmshaveavested interest
in theeconomicstabilityandsus-
tainabilityofLeRoyandBergen.
Agriculture has been - and still
is ourmost sustainable industry.
For every “farmer” there are an
additional 14 people employed
in a related agribusiness. Our
new revitalization planwill give
impetus to improvements in
infrastructure - gas, sewers and
most importantly to our agricul-
turalcommunity,broadbandhigh
speed Internet.
